The world lost a bright and talented young athlete on March 27, 2008. 15 yr. old Kinsey Wright was a daughter and sister to Krista and Damon Wright, as well as her brother Kade Wright. Kinsey had a deep love for her family, but soccer was her true passion. She played with a couple of clubs, including the locally-based Academy FC and her current team, WSA.
Sadly, Kinsey passed away this morning after suffering severe internal injuries from a car accident while on her way to soccer practice yesterday evening. The accident occurred at East 121st Street South and South Yale Avenue in Tulsa, OK she and several other Bixby High School students were involved in the accident and transported to an area hospital.
Despite being only in high school, Kinsey had already suffered a season-ending ACL tear on her knee last year. However, she had just made a full recovery and was on her way to becoming one of the greatest soccer players of her generation.
Kinsey will always be in our hearts and memories. She was a beautiful, wonderful, and lovable angel who has gone too soon. Rest in peace, baby girl.
