The biggest sign that you have a distorted reality of who God is, is you begin to say things like,
“Well, you just do you and I’ll just do me.”
“Like, like it doesn’t really matter with the word of god has to say about it. Uh you know, that’s just not how I feel.”
Or here’s my favorite one, in culture day-light
“You know what, just follow your heart.”
Follow your heart has ended more marriages, Mutilated more bodies. Destroyed more souls. And ended more lives than the devil. Even imagined, Follow Your Heart is “hell’s most effective slogan yet.”
Follow your heart whenever my bible tells me that the heart is deceitfully-wicked looking.
Who can know it?
Here is what I need you to know. There’s no evil, there’s no pain on earth. That does not have a heavenly antidote found in one of the names of God revealed to us in the scripture.
This morning, I want to bring God center stage.
Now, I realize that in today’s preaching and teaching culture, oftentimes, we couldn’t be deceived into thinking that it is us who are center stage and that the holy Ghost, angels and God are kind of like, playing second string to, to the rest of us are, but I need to remind you that we are supporting actors and actresses at best.
This whole thing is about, God, our whole lives, are about God.
