Change Management 8 Week Study Guide

Change Management
8 Week Study Guide | 61 lessons

Change managers in an organization are tasked with successfully guiding employees through periods of transition before both small changes such as software or process alterations or big changes such as restructuring and downsizing.

Every employee handles the idea of change differently, requiring managers to employ a variety of strategies and activities to help workers adopt and embrace what’s to come.

One of the most successful strategies is encouraging two-way dialogue between managers and employees through asking and answering questions or providing feedback.

Change managers can also align human resources systems for the betterment of their workers, providing access to and education about tools and resources that can help employees navigate change both personally (their well-being) and professionally (training to develop necessary skills).

It’s important that managers are equipped with the personal and leadership skills to guide employees through transition. Training, education, and mentoring can help achieve this.
