Mon. Apr. 15, 2024 – Work began on this road replacement project with the help of a local traffic control contractor Action Safety Striping.
The stripping project was set to begin until the work was completed on April 16, 2024.
The project included all lane directions at the intersection of E. 61st & Peoria Avenue including turn lanes and left and right arrows.
Traffic has temporarily been funneled into the outside lanes of a normally six lane thoroughfare. Be prepared for traffic congestion and slightly slower than usual commutes.
If you’re planning on traveling to this part of the city on your way home from work add about 5-7 extra minutes of travel time to your daily routine.
